The Rant
Friday, June 18, 2004
Jason Giambi is an interesting character in Baseball. Always personable and friendly, many loved
him for many years as he played on the A's. Then he had some really fabulous years right before his
contract ran out, and after the season he promised the A's fans that he wanted to retire with
Oakland's uniform still on him and that it was the game and not the money that he loved.
A few short months and a 120 million dollar offer later, Giambi walked away from the A's, and then
badmouthed the town of Oakland on Television. (Trying to be funny.) He gets a roar of boos from
the A's whenever the Yankees are in town.
He seems to inspire either love or hate. But not much else these days. |
