Dads always have a last word of advice for you when you're about
to go off, and it is almost invariable "Don't screw up, dammit!"
My dad was the kind that would get pissed for the minor mistakes but
remained totally calm whenever I fucked up BIG BIG BIG time! I think
that was amazingly cool of him. If I showed up an hour late, I got
in yelled at, but if I showed up in a cop car, he talked very calmly
with me about what happened. He's a good guy.
